‘Memory Theatre’ and ‘Performance for Photo Booth (Father & Son)’ by Matthew Humphreys at the Florence Trust

Every year, the Florence Art Trust offers an exciting development program and a studio residency in London. The program is designed to support the creative and professional development of each artist by providing a series of one-to-one tutorials, group critiques, tours and workshops, which results in a curated exhibition each year in July. Applications for the studio residency are received through an open submission call and Matthew Humphrey is one of the 12 artists selected for this year’s studio residency at the Florence Art Trust.

Humphrey’s work often uses old family photographs, to explore the influences and limitations of using photography to record memory accurately.

We’re pleased to have printed Memory Theatre and Performance for Photo Booth (Father & Son), which will be on display at the Florence Art Trust Summer Exhibition from 1st -10th July from 6-9pm.
