Fabrica Gallery has launched its annual Open Call for submissions for the In Between Gallery.
Emerging photographic artists should submit their work by Monday, November 14.
The annual open call sees work displayed in a 4×3 metre window of Fabrica.
There is no theme. However, artists are asked to submit work that will function well for a large-format print set within the window frame.
The panel will favour work in a square format.
Images which are light or bright will work best as there is a light filter on the window.
In Between Gallery
In Between Gallery is a temporary space displaying contemporary photography between the main exhibition programme at Fabrica.
It is a partnership between Fabrica Gallery, Spectrum Photographic, Photo Fringe and Loupe Magazine.
The window faces directly onto Duke Street – one of Brighton’s busiest pedestrianised quarters.
The judging panel includes representatives from the partner organisations as well as artist and curator Ibrahim Azab and independent curator Cairo Clarke.

What you win
The winning image will go on display in the window from December, 2022, to April, 2023.
The selected artist will receive a fee of £200 plus travel costs.
They will also be the featured speaker at the Artist Talk & Photography Networking Event on February 8, 2023.
Information about the artist and their work will feature on the Fabrica website and via promotional materials produced by Fabrica, Photo Fringe, Spectrum and Loupe.
