Palm* Photo Prize opened this September at 10 14 Gallery in North East London. The group exhibition will run for one month and feature all 107 shortlisted artists, including winning entries.
Chosen from the shortlist – after 7700 entries were submitted – first place in the Judge’s Panel Prize was awarded to New York based photographer Lindsay Perryman. Perryman’s practice is described as unraveling the intricate interplay of identity and representation, and explores the nuances of African American queer experiences. Perryman received a €1000 Artist Grant, a feature in the Palm* publication, and inclusion in the group exhibition at 10 14 Gallery.

The Judge’s Panel Prize was decided by a host of acclaimed industry experts, including Alastair McKimm, former Editor-in-Chief of i-D, Emma Bowkett, Curator and Director of Photography at the FT Weekend Magazine, photographer Dana Lixenberg, and D. Wiafe, Artists and course leader at the London College of Communication (UAL).
Proudly continuing this long standing partnership, Spectrum Photographic were once again excited to work with the Palm* Photo team as official print sponsor for the exhibition.
Palm* Photo Prize is a biennial submission based exhibition for a new generation of photographers. Its aim is to support, elevate and showcase the best of the new wave of image-makers.
